who for?...

People often seek counselling when they are facing loss or change, uncertainty, illness, trauma, relationship or workplace problems, or because they feel low, depressed, anxious, stressed, or have lost confidence and grown to doubt themselves. Some are finding themselves procrastinating, feeling passive and hesitant to assert themselves, frustrated in relationships, avoiding things, or questioning their past or their stage of life.

Trying to feel better by sheer effort of will can often just dig us deeper into a vicious cycle of thoughts, feelings and actions. We can be convinced we need some kind of emotional or psychological shift, yet unable to put a finger on what or how, or where to look for the key. There are times when you can’t expect yourself to solve it on your own, when it makes sense to get help……Counselling may have been suggested by a perceptive friend, partner, relative or doctor, but it works best when this fits with a personal realisation that it’s time to do something different with your efforts…
